If you have even dipped one toe in the local (or, hey, international) arts scene, chances are you’ve heard of ART PAPERS, proudly based here in ATL. And, likely, you’ve probably heard of their annual Silent Art Auction at Mason Murer, the non-profit mag’s biggest fundraiser of the year. If you haven’t heard of it, here’s the gist: it's the “can’t-miss” art event of the season happening on February 11th. It's a celebration of local artists, a showcase of international influencers and impressive up-and-comers, 300 of them in total. There will be food from all the local restaurant “artisans” that Atlanta loves to drool over (Condesa Coffee, Escorpión, Fritti, Sotto Sotto, The Sound Table, Sugar-Coated Radicals, TOP FLR, and others) plus a cash bar for your festive beverage needs. Music will be spinning from the likes of DJ Mike Katz. And most importantly, it's a chance to witness what the art world is buzzing over, contribute to ART PAPERS’ award-winning programs, and maybe just maybe take a piece home for you and yours to enjoy.
After the party, it’s the after-party at HALO Lounge
where Scoutmob attendees get the VIP status with a complimentary drink and a private lounge for our partying purposes. And just to keep your artful inspiration alive, ART PAPERS will be sending you a three-issue subscriptiona six month collection of art from high to low, famous names to emerging artists you want to follow, spanning from visual to experimental arts and everything in between. Think of 'em like artistic collectors' pieces... for your coffee table.
We figure you're either in it for the art or for the party. As for us, we’re in it for both.
ART PAPERS' mission is to provide an independent and accessible forum for the exchange of perspectives on contemporary art as a socially relevant and engaged discourse. Each artist will receive 35% of the proceeds for their sales. The remaining funds will benefit ART PAPERS magazine, ART PAPERS LIVE!, and the launch of exciting new programs.
