When we're looking to spice things up a bit – a sandwich, a salad, or even a slice of cold pizza (hey, don't judge) – our fail-safe condiment of choice? Sriracha. Long gone are the days of Texas Pete or mere Tabasco. Sriracha may just be the perfect condiment: the consistency and coloring of ketchup with the heated power of a hot sauce. And yes, we put it on just about everything. And we're not alone – the sauce has developed such a cult following that Indy film mogul and Director, Griffin Hammond, was motivated enough to make a 30-minute documentary in homage to it. Luckily for us, the film is included in this year's Atlanta Film Festival Food on Film screenings. A series of film shorts (about all things edible) will air on the Plaza Theatre's silver screen, and will be followed by a Q&A with Sriracha's director, Hammond, and his collaborator Randy Clemens (author of two cookbooks devoted to the sauce).
