Feast & fest your way through Friday, May 11th the way most Southerners only dream of: our exclusive ATLANTA FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL package gets you access to Friday's Tasting Tents + an after-party at JCT Kitchen’s ultimate chefs bash
Overheard at last year’s inaugural Atlanta Food & Wine Festival:
“I have never seen anything like this before.”
“How did they pull this off?!”
“This is... epic.”
And if it's possible, this year's fest is on track to be an even MORE epic four days of celebrating all there is to love about living (and eating) in the South.
To make sure you experience the most exemplary elements of the fest, we’ve pulled together this exclusive two-event package:
TASTING TENT EXPERIENCE: 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, May 11th:
It's a culinary journey throughout the South. Spend a full afternoon exploring the trends, traditions and culinary stylings of the different regions of and takes on Southern cuisine. The tents are designed to work as “a series of trails,” so you can make your way through, say, the BBQ route, and taste everything from the way they do it Eastern Carolina vs. Western Carolina... and all the way over to the flavors and seasonings of Austin, Texas.
The idea is to experience just how much flavor can vary across the map on one traditionally Southern dish (or drink), whether that be Bourbon, Craft Beer, Seafood, Farm Fresh Foods, Southern Snacks, and Desserts. Each tasting will come from the noteworthy Southern chefs you've maybe only read about until this pointmany James Beard nomineesas well as some worldly imports from other Southern regions across the globe. Eat and drink and experience to your Southern-lovin' heart and stomach’s content. (Regular-priced Admission: $100)
"PIG OUT: SOUTHERN STYLE": A Backyard BBQ Bash at JCT Kitchen, 8 p.m., Friday, May 11th:
Finish off this foodie-heaven of a Friday at JCT's backyard blowout (which could be more accurately described as the epitome of how we do parties in the South.) Pit-master Chris Lilly of Alabama’s legendary
Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q will play host. Two live bands will perform during the course of the evening. Buckets of cold craft brews will be on ice for the taking, and bourbon for the pouring, BBQ and seafood will be there for (even more) eating, plus you'll have the rare chance to just hang with 70+ of the most celebrated chefs, mixologists and sommeliers around.
This, dear friends, is exactly how we’ve always pictured the ultimate Southern party: A full Friday of food, drinks, music... and all the Southern Hospitality one could possibly handle.
