Need an excuse to get crafty whilst socializing over wine and cupcakes? Learn to make a spiffy, one-of-a-kind cover for your smartphone, tablet, or laptop from the local creatives at The Beehive’s crafting (and sipping) classes.
If you've spent time perusing the wares of the Beehive, you know the crafting mavens at Atlanta's first designer collective are rather insanely talented and brilliantly creative. The good news for us regular folk? They're ready and willing to share that crafty know-how with us over cupcakes and wine (y'know, to fuel your creativity).
For this class, you can toss that drab grey Belkin case along the window, because you're going to give your gadget a spiffy new outfit. Over two hours, a round of cupcakes, and perhaps a beverage or two, you'll learn how to create a protective covering for your smartphone, tablet, or laptop that's both stylish and
functional. After you take your pick from one of Beehive's fabrics (or bring your own paisley of choice), a Beehive designer will walk you through the basics of following a pattern and bringing it to life on a sewing machine. Sewing newbs, fear not: even if you're still a little fuzzy on the whole sewing-a-button thing, your kindly instructor can gently guide you toward artistic greatness. After sipping on a beverage and snacking on a mini cupcake or two, you'll be the proud owner of a one-of-a-kind case that you can sport with pride. Next stop: artistic greatness.
