The famed burger joint's FancyPants Tuesday gets an extra dose of schmancy, Scoutmob-style. And by schmancy, we do mean cold beer, boozy milkshakes, and robots.
In a land of elaborate, often complicated burger-on-patty concoctions, it can be hard to separate the posers from the genuine article. But ever since Alex Brounstein set up shop in Sweet Auburn Curb Market and, later, a renovated gas station on Piedmont, the cult of burger connoisseurs have hit up Grindhouse to get their fix. With subway tiles, robot action figures scattered about, and cult movies projected on the wall, Grindhouse feels a little like the punk-rock rascal of the burger scene. And after cultivating a rabid fan base with their classic, all-American hamburgers, they decided to whip out the formalwear and take things up a notch.
Thus, FancyPants Tuesdays were born, a night of extra-spiffy burgers gussied up with gourmet fixins. Forget regular ol' casual burgers, or even business-casual burgers: these half-pound patties are dee-luxe, served up hot 'n fresh on a Holeman & Finch bun and topped with whatever the kitchen dreams up (past iterations include chorizo and queso, fried green tomato and goat cheese, and a Caribbean jerk concoction). And when you add Scoutmob to all this fancy, you get a healthy dollop of extra-schmancy

served alongside crispy fresh cut fries, two cold craft brews, and a boozy milkshake. It's a fancy fête for your tastebuds, and it's the kind of swanky Tuesday we can get down with. You might just want to make sure those tuxedo pants of yours have an elastic waistband.
