Sample the best bites and brew in Brooklyn from over 50 well-established restauranteurs and vendors. This 1-day food fest benefits the construction of the Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center... and your stomach. Yes, your belly will definitely thank you for this.
The typical image of North Brooklyn nowadays is of a young transient population that lacks ties to their old New Yawk neighbors. North Brooklyn was and still is a close-knit community, the cultural activities of which are in part supported by the Northside Town Hall and its partner non-profits. Realizing how much community members both new and old were brought together by the shared breaking of bread and popping of PBR tops, the Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center began the Taste of Williamsburg Greenpoint three years ago as an epic fundraiser for the construction of the Northside Town Hall project, a community center that will be established inside of the historic Engine Company 212 Firehouse.
North Brooklyn has its eats in order. Home of Smorgasburg, the annual Northside Festival, and a litany of trendy restaurants, Williamsburg and Greenpoint know how to get the party started. If you feel bad about the prospect of filling your belly to the brim, know that all proceeds from the Taste of Williamsburg will benefit the building of this much needed home for community building, activism and arts on Brooklyn's Northside. You’ll receive choice samples from established restaurateurs, enjoy drinks from some of the top bars and beverage producers in the hood, listen to great tunes from local musicians, all while taking in some of the best views in the City. Over 50 vendors will be participating this year, including Maison Premiere, Crif Dogs, Café Colette, Brooklyn Brewery, and Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream.
What’s the cost for the sensuous taste of activism? Six food tastes from Brooklyn’s premiere vendors in addition to four drink samples will only cost you $28. Bring a friend and get double the amount of both food and drink for only $54. Let your taste buds go feral with a $50 all-you-can-taste pass, and stay gold with the $75 VIP ticket that secures early entry and access to the exclusive promenade. These half-price tickets are all limited in supply, so hop on them while they last. Take a bite out of Brooklyn at Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint, while helping make sure what's best about these North Brooklyn nabes aren't eaten up!
