Unleash your inner artistic genius at the most creative bar in town. Get to ArtJamz in Dupont Circle for a night of wine sippin’ and canvas paintin’.
There are very few things that imbibing a couple glasses of wine might actually make you do better. Texting, for example, is not one of them. But painting? A few sips of this sweet nectar may actually turn your creative dial up to 11. Add to that the calm of a DC night and the helpful advice of the professionals at ArtJamz and, dear me! Somebody call the Phillips Collection. You may have just discovered your artistic genius rivals that of Van Gogh. No ear amputation necessary. Or… at the very least, your mom will like it, if not for the sole fact that you've done something productive with your late night and have something to show for it. After two hours of sipping and creating, you’ll get to take home your 20 x 24 inch masterpiece and proudly hang it on your wall (or your mom’s wall; she's contractually obligated to hang it).
Yet while the finished product is cool, it’s the process that makes this experience truly worth it, thanks to the good people at ArtJamz. Founded by local artist Michael M. Clements in 2010, the business idea arrived rather organically. He was up late one night painting, drinking and hanging out with his friends when he thought, “Wouldn’t this be great if we could do this at a bar?” The answer, of course, is yes. It’s beyond great! That's because now, not only can you surround yourself with your own friends, but you’ll get to meet a whole bunch of new ones, as well. Think of all the fine friendships that might begin when two people bump hands reaching for the Cadmium Yellow paint at the same time. And speaking of the paint, ArtJamz will provide all your creative materials, from a rainbow of acrylics and brushes to the palettes and paint knives. All you need to bring is your inspiration.
