Thanks to the Atlanta Film Fest, we’ve been celebrating independent films for 40 years here in the A. And now you can be a part of all the action in this Scoutmob exclusive presale.
There seems to be a prevailing idea that the film world is new to Atlanta, making a splash just in the past few years. Sure, Anchorman 2, several installments of the Hunger Games Trilogy, Ant Man, Selma, Fast & Furious 7, and a whole boatload more were filmed here recently, but thanks to the Atlanta Film Fest, we’ve been celebrating independent films for 40 years. And as if that’s not enough of a reason to love the ten days of screenings, this is one of only two dozen Academy Award qualifying events in the country. The Atlanta Film Festival showcases over 200 films to nearly 25,000 attendees - each year, the festival receives nearly 5,000 submissions from 120 countries across the globe. Yep, coming up April 1-10, 2016, Atlanta may be filled with even more stars than usual as famous folks from all over descend upon our fair city for this legendary event. And the best part? This limited presale is only available through Scoutmob, so get ‘em while you can.
Now Scouts, you can be a part of the whole dang festival- all ten days of screenings. Scoutmob has teamed up with the Atlanta Film Festival to offer two levels of passes. The $25 MovieHopper
pass is perfect for film-savvy Scouts who like to keep an eye on the budget. With this level, admission to film screenings is standby only, meaning you can queue up 30 minutes before the screening, and will be admitted five minutes before it starts. So the earlier you arrive, the better your chances are for optimal seating. The $75 Film Pass
is for Scouts who want the best possible seats- it gives priority seating to screenings for pass holders without RSVPs. This line will be admitted 20 minutes prior to showtime, so they recommend you arrive early to get good seats. And with this level, you can bring your friends- they’re providing two Buddy Passes to admit friends to a screening of your choice, plus 20% off all merchandise sales. And both levels come with a full membership to the Atlanta Film Society, which means you can attend networking events, workshops, and advanced screenings, plus discounts within the film community. So for anyone who wants to pretend Atlanta just became a film town, we challenge you. And we’ll definitely see you at the festival.
