Celebrate eco-friendly wine in the heart of Kirkwood with our friends over at Savor Wine Boutique, and sample more than 30 varieties of wine that make you feel good about drinking them.
We know about red wine, white wine, and have even partaken in a delightful blush from time to time, but now we're totally into green wine. No, not wine that’s the color green (although our curiosity has been piqued). We're talking about wine that’s been created with organic and sustainable principles in mind- you know, green. With more and more people taking the initiative to buy organic foods and foods produced with sustainable farming practices on small farms, it’s not a stretch to extend that initiative to the liquid imbibements as well. Enter the fine folks over at Savor Wine Boutique, who are celebrating eco-friendly wine in the heart of Kirkwood with their Earth Day Soiree. They carry small batch wine from small, family owned estates from all over the world, nothing is mass produced, and most of it is sustainably produced. Their wines not only make us feel good when we drink them, but also make us feel good about drinking them.
So now it’s time to jump right into another of our favorite things: a community fair. Yep, that’s right- Savor is partaking in Atlanta’s favorite pastime to celebrate Earth Day, and it’s quite in line with their values. The Earth Day Soiree supports the Earth Day Network mission to broaden the environmental movement worldwide, to build a healthy, sustainable environment for the future, and to address climate change. Sounds like some heavy stuff, but it’s truly a celebration- unlimited samplings of more than 30 of the very best artisan wines in the market- many of which are organic, sustainable, bio-dynamic, fair trade and vegan - can only be made better by adding a green market with eco-friendly business exhibitors and local artisans. Add to all that entertainment by Calo Gitano Flamenco Academy (Kirkwood neighbors) and live music by Charlie Sheets. So let’s recap: enjoy a luscious red or a fresh white, but make sure to keep it green every time.
