Ever need a little “you” time? The good people at Elaine Sterling Institute are coming to the rescue–armed with seasonal facials, hot stones and massage knowledge in abundance, they'll scrub, steam and gently rinse away all those built-up stresses, revealing a refreshed, more relaxed YOU.
Have a seat for a moment; take a load off. Now answer us honestly: when was the last time you did something that was really, truly just for you? You know, stealing away in the middle of the day to pamper yourself and relax, forgetting about the outside world for a while? If you can't remember, it's time to re-up on that feeling, for at Elaine Sterling Institute, that happy, shiny warm and fuzzy goodness is to be expected, if not even surpassed. Seriously, it's so relaxing there, it's a wonder these ladies can stay alert enough to perform the actual facials. (But they do- we promise.) Elaine Sterling herself hails from South Africa and holds the prestigious (and international) Swiss CIDESCO Diplomat and British ITEC certifications. (Translation: she's up to snuff abroad.) And, now, based out of good ol' ATL, she's been able to marry a lot of those European techniques with some American science to create unique treatments that bring skin rejuvenation to new levels.
When you arrive for your facial, you'll be greeted by a glittering chandelier and a sparkly, yet serene, waiting area that's lined with Elaine's own line of beauty products. From there you'll be whisked off to a special beauty-room for your facial: we're talkin' clean, comfortable and with relaxing sounds floating through the air. There’s nothing better than a facial that’s in season, which is why we love the pumpkin facial - it’s a lot like a peel, but not as aggressive. The enzymes in the pumpkin nibble away on dead skin and bacteria, leaving your skin soft and refreshed, similar to getting an exfoliating facial. The facial and back treatment is a little more involved, with a European facial curated by Elaine herself, and a 20-minute hot-stone back massage. The trained technicians will use steam, extraction, mask and a skillful massage of the face and decollete to draw out impurities, soften the skin and decrease the appearance of fine lines and blemishes. Whatever treatment you choose, to ease you back into reality, you'll get to sip on a seasonal tea- go ahead, take your time. The world can wait.
