As if your favorite farm/fresh breakfast spot couldn't get any better, farm:table is taking their morning menu on a 4-course all-night ride. And for one night only, you're invited.
Brunch: it's what's for dinner. And on Thursday, Oct. 25, it's big, fresh and delicious. After all, we all secretly wish that farm:table's breakfast and lunch menu could last into the evening. So why not make an event of it? To that end, chef Aris and resident coffee connoisseur Shannon have created an extension of the beloved meal hybrid: BFD (brunch for dinner). A meal we've decided to refer to as brinner. Just because we can.
For one night only, farm:table is taking over FoodLab's brand-spanking-new Mid-Market pop-up eatery to bring you their take on seasonal, creative breakfast comfort food, featuring all the best quality, locally-sourced ingredients you can muster. Start off your meal with a wild mushroom and herb frittata and specialty mimosa (who says they're just for breakfast?), then get down to business with our personal choice for last-meal-on-earth, creamy polenta with soft egg and homemade pancetta. Clear your palate with a crisp brew from Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. and dive in to a braised pork dish that'll make you all tingly inside. Top it all off with a seasonally appropriate warm bread pudding dessert and you'll be all ready to
start end your day right.
As if that's not enough, join Shannon (formerly a roaster at Blue Bottle) for a guided coffee tasting (that's "cupping" to you) featuring freshly roasted single origin beans. Expect a multi-step learning experience where you'll smell, soak, slurp and savor different varieties of beans to better understand how quality, origin and process affect the flavors and aromas in your morning cup of joe.
So come celebrate the best new meal out there: brinner, the breakfast-lunch-at-dinner of champions in four top-notch dishes by farm:table, only at FoodLab. And of course, especially with Scoutmob.
