Time to dig through Grammy’s closet – the Poncey-Highlands strip is throwing the ultimate of tacky sweater festivities, and we’re here to help you celebrate. Cup o’ cheer, anyone?
’Tis the season for our ugliest and tackiest of winter-wear: the tacky sweater. No wintry season would be complete without a tacky sweater party or two, and this year the Poncey-Highland strip is outdoing everyone with the gaudiest of gatherings. Yup, it’s a tacky sweater block party. Dust off the tinsel, dig through Grammy’s closet, and pridefully don your most out-of-fashion Christmas apparel and join in the fun with Sweet Auburn Barbecue, FLIP Burger, Café 640, and the Highland Ballroom lounge for the ultimate of festivities.
Your Scoutmob ticket purchase not only entitles you to entry to the party, which commences at the Highland Ballroom, but also four drink tickets – to redeem each of the four participating restaurants, and access to all of the live entertainment throughout. For those who really
bring their A game, there will be a supplemental cash bar and food menus at each sight throughout the night. Oh, and did we mention? There’s a contest too, complete with special guest celebrity judges, Chantel Jiroch (Rawesome Juicery), Kyle Tibbs Jones (The Bitter Southerner), Megan Huntz (Megan Huntz Dresses) and Nick Carse (King of Pops). Yup – the tackiest sweaters get rewards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively.) The grand prize? A night at the Highland Inn, and gift certificates to cover dinner for two at Sweet Auburn BBQ, Cafe 640, and Flip Burger. Move over, Santa – we’ve got trophies for the taking.
